Croin is designed to accelerate the blockchain based real life applications as well as the adoption of cryptocurrencies. It offers two different solutions. Hence the background for this project has two distinct contexts.

Often the smart contracts or dApps need off-chain inputs or validations. Such tasks are fulfilled by oracles or DAOs. Still there is a need for a tool that should yield Boolean output based on general user inputs. Such functionality can boost development of decision based dApps or smart contracts.

Croin yields Boolean output based on custom inputs. These custom inputs are most general, having constraints of English and reasoning only. Any inputs that can be inferred through common English and logic, lead to a Boolean output through Croin. The case of indeterminacy also is reflected in the output through expiration of the validity.

Any third party program can use Croin's this functionality to process the general inputs or circumstances. The inputs can be as per native logic of the app or program. This facilitates real life applications with blockchain. There is no requirement of chain specific parameters, hence development of next age off-chain & cross-chain processes is possible.

Entities on web2 and web3 face challenge in verification of the claims related to physical existence. Hence the verification of digital or blockchain assets/parameters runs in numerous problems. Often it leads to malpractices and scam nexus. Digital world can address this by devising some agencies & institutions make the verification efficient, wherever the context of verification is standardized. But still, the issue of general verification remains unaddressed. Importantly, blockchain world is built on user specific claims/definitions, anonymous processing and denial of authority. Hence, we need an exclusive solution to facilitate verification of the information claimed by someone, that doesn't compromise fundamental features of the users on blockchain. Croin facilitates verification in this fashion, of the information constrained by just English and reasoning. This would facilitate efficient verification models on web3 as well as web2.
